HOLE 1  : MAKASSAR HOLE 2 : BEWARE HOLE 3 : STRAIGHT AWAY

PAR 4

  398
  377
  356
  323
  296

Pause to enjoy the impressive view of “Makassar” from the mountain-side tees of the opening 4 par. This hole will play shorter than its actual length due to the dramatic fall from tee to fairway. The fairway is guarded to the right side by a large bunker. Stone walls to the left frame the dogleg and provide highly visible target lines for the tee short. The green is protected by a deep left-side bunker, but the putting surface is easily accessible from the right side.

PAR 4

  405
  388
  466
  334
  310

“Beware” the lake that tightly borders the left side of this short 4 par. Tee short that succsessfully challenge the lake edge will shorten the golf hole and provide birdie opportunities, but is poorly executed will lead to bogies of worse. The Fairway is expansive to the right side, providing the most conservative option of play. The green is receptive to approach short to the center or right, but “Beware” of attacking pins cut to the left side of this putting surface.

PAR 4

  392
  374
  354
  326
  293

The key to scoring well is to avoid the fairway bunkers positioned short-left and long-right on this “Straight Away” 4 par. The fairway narrows between the bunkers there by challenging the longest tee short. This golf rises from tee the green and will play slightly longer than its posted length. A deep bunker positioned at the front-center of the shallow green will place a premium on proper club selection on the approach shot.

HOLE 4  : THE CARRY HOLE 5 : SWITCHBACK HOLE 6 : MOUNTAIN EDGE

PAR 3

  200
  192
  176
  157
  133

The greatest challenge on this long 3 par is “The Carry” over the lake that separates tee and green. The green is one of the larges on the golf course and provides an expansive target, but take care attacking a right side pin perched above the lake edge. A large “bailout” are to the left side of the green allows for a conservative line of play.

PAR 5

  522
  504
  477
  407
  378

The double-dogleg provides the “Switchback” on This long 5 par. A linear lake and fairway bunkers define the target for the tee short. The green position, sites high above a meandering stream, places a premium on the proper line for approach shot. A conservative second shot, played to the left, avoids the hazards, but sets up a delicate approach over large green-side bunker. A second shot which flirts with the hazards to the right side of the fairway will provide the ideal line of approach to the long narrow green.

PAR 3

  218
  202
  179
  156
  127

The “Mountain Edge” is the site of the green complex on the golf courses longest 3 par. Outcroppings of natural stone frame this golf hole and create challenging obstacles to errant play. The front-center of the green is open and allows the most inviting targer from the tee. The putting surface is receptive and will hold a reasonably well played shot.

HOLE 7  :  BIRDIE HOLE 8 : BUNKERS HOLE 9 : SISTER LAKES

PAR 5

  472
  451
  430
  407
  375

As the shortest 5 par this golf hole should allow an excellent opportunity for “Birdie” The tees are sited at elevation on the shoulder of the mountain, providing a dramatic view of the entire hole. A small stream bordering the holes right side should not overly influence play. A drive that splits the fairway bunkers will allow the green to the reached in two shorts, but the heavily bunkered approach will capture all but the most accurate of shots.

PAR 3

  158
  148
  128
  108
  94

Three green-side “Bunkers” define this medium length 3 par. Deep bunkers to the left & right, and a high framing bunker behind the green create a visually challenging tee shot. With a three club difference from the front to the back of the putting surface, proper club selection is imperative.

PAR 5

  544
  517
  489
  450
  409

Two large “Sister Lakes” make thos 5 par one of the golf courses most challenging holes. The tee shot is heavily influenced to the right side by the first of the lakes. Stone walls define the left fairway and provide excellent target lines. From the tee shot, the fairway splits the “Sister Lakes” and rises along the mountain shoulder. This portion of the fairway and the green are framed by the second lake, bunkers and natural rock outcroppings. This 5 par should be played as a three shot hole by all but the most accomplished golfer.

HOLE 10 : THE RIVER HOLE 11 : BLACK STONE HOLE 12 : VALLEY

PAR 4

  392
  353
  346
  316
  292

The tees, perched on the edge of the mountain, provide an expansive view of “The River” and the river valley bellow. The fairway of this medium length 4 par is bordered by fairway bunkers and native stone. From the tee box, “The River” will come into play for only the longest tee shorts. The green is sited on a ridge, located in a bend of the river. The most conservative approach is to the right side of this green complex, away from the green-side bunker and “The River” to the left.

PAR 4

  397
  377
  357
  319
  288

This is a highly demanding, dogleg left, 4 par. The tee shot is heavily influenced a series of three, deep bunkers positioned along the left edge of the fairway. The fairway slope will turn most prominent element of this golf holes is the “Black Stone” ridge that borders the left side of the green complex. The green is tucked against this ridge creating a very challenging approach.

PAR 5

  507
  486
  464
  446
  405

This medium length 5 par plays uphill through a gentle “Valley” slopes and two prominent fairway bunkers frame the tee shot. The green, located at the head of the valley, is perched above two deep ‘cross-bunkers’. The fairway splits around the ‘cross-bunkers’, providing two lines of approach. The high-right fairway is elevated and is the ideal line of play. The low-left, conservative line requires a delicate, unhill approach over the deep cross-bunkers.

HOLE 13 :  ROCKY STREAM HOLE 14 : SHORT HOLE 15 : MOUNTAIN VIEW

PAR 4

  354
  338
  317
  290
  262

From the elevated tees, the entire golf hole, the “Rocky Stream” and the mountains beyond provide a beautiful view. The “Rocky Stream” is the defining element of this short 4 par, as the stream meanders along the right side of the fairway and then crosses the golf hole in front of the green complex. A well played drive will set up a demanding approach to a green bordered front & left by the “Rocky Stream” and the right by a deep pot bunker.

PAR 3

  149
  137
  121
  106
  87

This a “Short” 3 par, but do not be lulled into believing that the shortest is also the easiest. The front & right side of the green is closaely boardered by a small lake. The left & back of the green are guarded by an imposing bunker. The putting surface is almost four club lengths in depth, placing a premium on proper club selection.

PAR 4

  371
  355
  334
  305
  262

The “Mountain View” frames this 4 par and provides a wonderful setting for the green complex. The fairway of this dogleg right is bracketed by bunkers, but the right side bunker can be attacked by a heroic carry. The approach is significantly uphill to a green sited on the mountain slope. An attacking approach shot must carry both bunkers and the steep hillside. The left side of this green provides a more receptive less demanding line of play.

HOLE 16 : HIGH SIDE HOLE 17 : HOME IN SIGHT HOLE 18 :  THE CHALLENGE

PAR 4

  403
  387
  368
  343
  294

A key to successfully negotiating this tought 4 par is to play to the “High Side”. The golf hole is located against the foot of the mountain along a strong cross-slope moving from left to right. Hollows collection areas to the right will gather tee shots and crate a more difficult approach. A deep bunker bordering the right side of the green emphasizes the need to play to the “Hige Side”. Te putting surface is longer than wide placing a premium on an accurate approach.

PAR 3

  185
  165
  143
  128
  120

From the elevated tees of this long 3 par golfers can see “Home in Sight”. The view of the 17th and 18th holes spreads across the valley floor with the clubhouse resting on the mountain beyond, is truly an impressive view. The lake which is positioned hard against the left side of this green must be challenged in order to score well. Hollows and collection areas provide ‘bailout’ to the right, but an ‘up and down’ from this areas is not a given.

PAR 5

  550
  528
  496
  467
  435

At over 600 yards from the championship tee and with a massive lake bordering the fairway from tee to green, this demanding 5 par finishing hole is “The Challenge”. Its possible to challenge the lake there by reaching this hole in two shots, but it will require two daring blows. The most rationale line of play is three shots along played to the center of left side of the fairway. The green complex is sited high above the lake, beneath the dubhouse. Bunkers and stone outcroppings guard the approach, while a native stone wall provides an impressive backdrop to the green of “The Challenge”.
